In Iraq...
Well, we made it to the Forward Operating Base (FOB) safe and sound. It took us about three days to make it from Udari to here, but it all worked out. The weather has been nothing like what you'd picture Iraq to be. The rain has been non-stop for the last three days and the temperature has been somewhere in the 40s. Our tents were definitely not ready for that kind of rain, as we spent the majority of our days trying to keep our gear and weapons dry.
We've been keeping busy for an upcoming mission. We're not positive of the duration of the mission, but it could last over ten days. So, please be patient in regards to hearing from your Marine. Worry as little as humanly possible because your men are well taken care of.
Once again, everyone in the Pack is well and in super high spirits. There's no place like home, so when our job's finished here, we're on our way. The timeline is still set for our original return date.
We're thinking about you all. Semper Fidelis.
